Participants of one of the largest Russian educational projects "Gutenberg's Smoking-room" will create the Gutenberg fund directed to large-scale promoting of science in the territory of Russia and other CIS countries. For this purpose organizers of the project have started to kraudkampaniye on the website Planeta.ru. They plan to allocate all raised funds for registration of fund, realization existing and start of new programs which will make activity of fund over time.
Participants of educational community plan to collect more than 1,5 million rubles and to aim them at providing branches with the high-quality writing-down equipment, establishment of the first Russian award for the bloggers popularizing science, organization of a large-scale federal festival of science "Science Volunteers Day" and also at registration of educational fund "Gutenberg" and the solution of his tasks.
The initiative of community was already supported by such scientists and popular writers of science as Alexander Panchin, Asya Kazantseva, Alexander Sokolov, Stanislav Drobyshevsky and also bloggers Vitaly Egorov ("A green cat"), Evgeny Timonov ("All as at animals") and many others.
As the project manager "Gutenberg's Smoking-room" Roman Pereborshchikov says, the fund will render organizational, methodical, financial and material support to the developing popular scientific projects. "We consider that the science has to be close and clear to everyone therefore we count on support of society in achievement of our educational purposes" — Pereborshchikov says.
The educational project "Gutenberg's Smoking-room" which has appeared in 2014 develops several directions of educational activity at once. Its participants have founded with assistance of AST publishing house a series of scientific literature "Gutenberg's Library" for the young authors who are published for the first time have organized network of free popular scientific lecture halls in 25 cities of Russia, have started own educational video channel with lectures and have created the program of support of the beginning popular scientific video bloggers. One of them, Alexander Ivanov, the author of Chemistry — It Is Simple channel, have got an award of the Ministry of Education recently "For fidelity to science" in the "Best Popular Scientific Project on Social Networks" nomination.
